If you are sick, most likely, blame it on microbes. Bacteria especially. Bacteria is common. If your illness is incurable, it must be viral; If it hard to treat, maybe it is a fungal infection. Protozoa cause disease but you cannot really say they are hard to get rid of although their life cycles are just crazy!
You need to know that there is a strain of Bacteria that is drug-resistant. Like the one that causes the drug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR- TB). This bacteria is no joke. You can easily say hi to your maker with this and infect others in the process of leaving earth ...
